LET’S NOT SPIT THESE MAGICAL SEEDS ANYMORE – PART 3



Most parts of papaya are beneficial for our health. Imagine, even the smallest part of papaya, papaya seeds can bring so much effect and positive impact for our body and how easy it is to keep our body healthy—only by consuming papaya seeds. we can consume it directly with fruit pulp or by mixing it or adding it on top of your daily breakfast yogurt or your smoothies. It tastes great on its own as well, just add little bit of honey to make it even nicer.
Papaya seeds are commonly consumed by those who live in tropical areas to help prevent parasite infestation in the body. The benefits including lowering the risk of developing heart diseases, diabetes, obesity, cancer and stress, etc are possessed by these seeds. They contain a proteolytic enzyme, papain, that literally rids your body of parasites by targeting parasite eggs and digesting their proteins. Papaya seeds also contain an anthelmintic alkaloid called carpaine that also helps kill parasitic worms and amoebas.
Papaya seeds contain a beneficial glucosinolate (a sulphur-containing glucoside) called glucotropaeolin, which when metabolized by the body, creates one of the strongest anti-cancer compounds called isothiocyanate.

As a precaution, pregnant women should not use papaya seeds or the enzyme-rich green papaya. This warning on their use would also extend to breastfeeding. Additionally, while papaya seeds do have strong anti-parasitic properties, they may be too powerful for young children’s gastrointestinal tracts, so a doctor should be consulted before giving them to infants.
